How To Fix Your Broken Brand Message In 60 Seconds
Your Brand Message is Broken. Here’s how to fix it in 60 seconds.
If you aren’t captivating and converting clients, most likely it has to do with your brand message, and not your other brand elements.
When a brand message is compelling, the other pieces start to fall into place.
We’ve just covered a logo vs branding and which one you need, if you missed that, go check it out but in that I mentioned that your brand message informs all of your other assets including your logo.
So to make good on my promise to fix your brand message in 60 seconds, here is my 3-part framework for messaging, you need to run your brand message so that it starts to captivate and convert your audience.
1. Get Clarity
What comes easily to you that you just love doing?
What could you talk about for hours while losing track of time?
What do the people who know you say your strengths are?
What do people come to you for help with that you enjoy the most? (No
more than two things!)
What is the biggest impact that you desire to make or what is the legacy you want to leave?
In terms of your business, what is most important at the end of the day in
terms of your client’s transformation?
Who can you specifically help?
Here’s a surefire way to get lost in the noise of social media. SPEAK TO EVERYONE.
2. Show Competence
Position yourself as an expert.
Make yourself accessible, relatable and human (Be REAL)
Show confidence.
3. Be Concise
Make a list of twenty things that you help clients do.
Next to each thing, you write the benefit.
Write the benefit of the benefit.
I help them have more confidence in themselves. (Benefit) 1: When you believe in you, clients believe in you and (Benefit 2) when clients believe in you they are more likely to say YES
I help them on an end goal create 5k months. Benefit: Once they hit this milestone, they now understand how to refine and repeat this process and they can finally leave their 9-5
I help them book up their one-on-one practice
I help them write their website content benefit so that they can focus on making engagement and attract more potential clients organically
I help them put together a marketing strategy so that they don’t have to waste time figuring out the HOW and can just focus on their zone genius.
Pro Tip: Use “SO THAT” to help you make sure you are including the powerful benefits and results of the work you do.
